DERBY, Kan – The Sedgwick County sheriff’s office has identified the man and woman who were found shot to death in separate cars near Derby Saturday evening.

Investigators believe that 33-year-old Randy Dean Gile II shot his wife, 33-year-old Kristen Leigh Gile, and then turned the gun on himself. They were found around 5:15 p.m. Saturday in the 10,100 block of East 63rd Street South, between Rock Road and Webb Road.

The sheriff’s office was called to the scene by Derby police, who found three vehicles at the scene. Police said Kristen Gile’s father, 55-year-old Richard Floria, had received minor injuries in a shooting. Police were originally called to a disturbance near K-15 and Patriot, and officers later found the three vehicles on 63rd South.

The killings are still under investigation.
