A 29-year-old man is in custody after a chase with law enforcement officers across three counties in central Kansas.
The Barton County sheriff’s office said detectives were looking for a wanted suspect Friday evening on the west side of Great Bend, and he sped away when they approached his vehicle.
The chase went through Barton, Rush and Pawnee counties before the driver pulled over and surrendered near the Barton-Rush county line. The driver, who is from Bushton, was booked into jail on warrants for drug and firearms charges, and he is also facing charges from the chase.
