The undersheriff in Barber County has been ordered to stand trial for involuntary manslaughter in the death of a man during a confrontation in 2017.
60-year-old Virgil “Dusty” Brewer was charged in the death of 42-year-old Steven Myers, who was shot with a beanbag round during an incident at a home near Sun City.
A judge denied a motion Tuesday by Brewer’s attorneys for self defense immunity.
