19-year-old arrested for east Wichita shooting

A 19-year-old man is in jail for an east Wichita shooting.

Police say a 29-year-old man was shot several times during an argument in the 7900 block of East Indianapolis, near Kellogg and Rock. This happened Friday night and the victim is expected to be OK.

The suspect was identified and arrested Wednesday. The teen was booked for attempted murder, robbery, and assault. Police say he was already a felon and was not supposed to have a gun in the first place.

So far, police have not said what the men were arguing about, or if this involved any gang or drug activity.
