K-State’s Alumni Team Accepted into TBT Tournament

K-State’s Alumni Team Accepted into TBT Tournament

The Basketball Tournament (TBT) has announced today that K-State’s Alumni team, Purple & Black, will be accepted into the TBT’s 2019 Wichita regional from July 25th-28th. The winner of the regional tournament will win 25 percent of ticket sales for that region and earn the chance to play for the $2 million dollar winner take all tournament in Chicago, IL. Purple & Black’s roster will feature notable former Wildcats DJ Johnson, Curtis Kelly, Marcus Foster, Justin Edwards, Akeem Wright, Martavious Irving, and Thomas Gipson III. The remaining players under consideration are former NBA players Michael Beasley and Jacob Pullen, as well as graduating seniors Dean Wade, Barry Brown Jr., and Kamau Stokes.

Aftershocks, a Wichita State alumni team will be the regional sponsor and features former Shockers Tekele Cotton, Cleanthony Early, Connor Frankamp, Clevin Hannah, Shaq Morris, Joe Ragland, and Rashard Kelly.
