The latest Kansas Honor Flight features some special participants.
The honor flights bring Kansas military veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the national war memorials. The latest trip features some special veterans: A female U.S. Navy veteran of Word War II and veteran father and son.
The father is a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, while the son is an army veteran of the Vietnam War. The public is invited to come to Eisenhower National Airport in Wichita to welcome the honor flight home Friday, starting at 10:30 a.m.
Free parking will be available at the top of the airport parking garage. The flight is expected to arrive at 12:05 p.m.
