Police are investigating after a 17-year-old boy went to a south Wichita hospital with a gunshot wound Thursday evening.
The teen walked into the emergency room at Via Christi St. Joseph around 7:45 p.m. Police said he was shot in the area of the 1100 block of South Terrace, and he flagged down a woman who drove him to the hospital.
The teen told officers he was walking with a friend to a south side park when a white van pulled up, and a man inside fired a shot at him.
No arrests have been made.
