Mobile ID Pilot Program Helps Inmates get ID

The Sedgwick County Offender Re-Entry (SCORE) Program participated in a Mobile ID Pilot Program to help qualified inmates get state issued identification before being released from custody. The Mobile ID Program assists inmates with getting jobs, housing, and services in the community immediately. The SCORE Program was created to assist inmates in the community by helping them get government IDs, housing, medical and mental health services, food resources, and employment. It is an effort to break the cycle of recidivism, which is currently at 60% at two years post release. The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office plans to continue adding to the SCORE program, but to date no taxpayer dollars have been used to build and implement the program.
