A Wichita man is charged with first degree murder in a fatal stabbing at a south side apartment.
28-year-old Darnell Jackson made a first appearance Wednesday in Sedgwick County district court. He is also charged with aggravated burglary and a preliminary hearing has been scheduled for June 6th. Jackson is being held on a bond of $90,000.
Police said 45-year-old Joseph Heiman was stabbed to death May 19th at an apartment complex in the 1800 block of South Glendale, near the intersection of Harry and Oliver. Investigators said Heiman and Jackson had been arguing for several weeks over loud music coming from Heiman’s apartment.
