Sedgwick County has activated the non-emergency phone line.
The line will be available starting at 6 p.m. each evening to 2:30 a.m. each morning between now and July 7. The line is for nuisance calls that don’t pose a threat to life or property, like fireworks being shot off after hours, loud parties, and loud noises.
The line frees up emergency lines that often see a large volume of calls this time of year that are not emergencies, which prevents real emergency calls from getting through. The number to call is 290-1011.
