A 19-year-old man from Climax, Kansas is dead, following a crash Wednesday morning west of Leon in Butler County.
It happened around 6:24 a.m. The Kansas Highway Patrol says Matthew Crouch was driving his 2017 Toyota Carolla westbound on US Highway 400 near SE Ellis Road, when he crossed the center line.
His car crashed into an eastbound pickup truck, driven by a 31-year-old Cottonwood Falls man. Crouch died at the scene.
The driver of the pickup had minor injuries. Troopers believe weather was a factor in the crash.
