The Sedgwick County election office has started early voting for the August 6th primary election for city council and school board seats.
The election office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and it will have advance voting through noon on August 5th.
There will be ten satellite locations that will be open for early voting on August 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
Nine candidates have filed in the Wichita mayor’s race and city council seats in districts 2, 4 and 5 will be open in this year’s elections. The Wichita school board has open seats in districts 3 and 4 and for the At Large seat. City council and school board races will be on the ballot for a number of other communities across Sedgwick County.
