Sedgwick County deputies have a suspect in custody for the death of a man whose body was found in a ditch near Valley Center.
A 37-year-old Wichita man was arrested on warrants and later booked for first degree murder when an investigation connected him to a March 27th homicide.
The body of 26-year-old Zackary Tilson of Wichita was found near his pickup on March 27th in the 5500 block of West 85th Street North. Sheriff Jeff Easter said Tuesday that Tilson died of stab wounds.
Sheriff Easter said the victim and the suspect were friends and the killing is believed to be drug-related. The investigation is continuing and information will be presented to the district attorney’s office for the filing of charges in the case.
