KCC orders utilities to offer payment plans, waive late fees through 2020

The Kansas Corporation Commission has ordered all Kansas utilities to offer 12-month payment plans and waive all late fees through the end of the year.

The order applies to both residential and business customers.  The order is in addition to the order suspending disconnections.

That order is expected to expire on May 31.  The commission says it may extend consumer protections into 2021 should the pandemic continue into next year.
