Save Century II is hosting a final petition drive today in an attempt to get more signatures before Friday.
The last event is happening at Park Villa, in Riverside, from 6 to 8 p.m. Drivers can pull up to 9th and Bitting and they’ll get a petition to sign without having to get out of their car. There will also be free water and cookies and a silent auction. Organizers say social distancing will be enforced.
There are currently about 15,000 signatures on the petition to save Century II from demolition, and organizers hope to have 16,000 by Friday. On the morning of July 10, petitions will be walked from 435 North Broadway, to City Hall. People are invited to join in on this march, starting at 10 a.m.
