Commissioners have approved a partnership with Wichita State University for nasal swab testing and saliva testing. The move will create a local lab capacity for Sedgwick County in conducting tests.
A transition plan will be developed for providers in Sedgwick County to achieve a goal of testing 2,234 residents a day. The Health Department has been conducting nasal swab testing for people with symptoms and for first responders and health care workers.
