With the Kansas Department of Health and Environment announcing Monday that the state has added 1,700 more Coronavirus cases, Governor Kelly announced a new plan to begin revealing the names and locations of active clusters of the virus.

At the moment, there are 181 active clusters in the state, which account for 5,177 of the state’s 46,914 total cases.

Kelly said that by releasing the outbreak locations, it will help communities become more informed about the threat in their area, and to be better prepared moving forward.

She added that the criteria will include active clusters with 5 or more confirmed positive cases as well as the names of private business where there are more than 20 confirmed cases.

Meanwhile, Sedgwick County health officials are reporting 125 additional cases of the virus, a 1.73% increase from Friday.
