Wichita School Board considering return to in-person class

Wichita’s middle and high school students are scheduled to use a new blended learning model starting Wednesday, November 11.

Up to this point, middle and high school kids have had to use remote learning options. This new plan would divide the student body in half, with one group going to school on Mondays and Tuesday, and the other group going to class on Thursdays and Fridays. All students would use remote learning on Wednesdays.

The start date for this model has already been pushed back once because of rising COVID-19, and there is growing concern as local cases continue to rise.

The Board of Education meets at 6 p.m. today and they will discuss potential changes in plans to return students to classrooms. These meetings are streamed live. You can watch using the link below.
