Wichita students to return to the classroom under a phased-in plan

Students in the Wichita Public Schools will be back in the classroom under a phased-in plan that was approved by school board members Monday evening.

The plan has elementary teachers returning Tuesday to prepare for classroom work, and students will be returning Wednesday.

Middle school and high school teachers will return to their buildings on Wednesday for remote teaching.    Students will begin a hybrid of remote and in-person learning on January 25th.   Students with last names beginning with the letters A through L will be onsite Mondays and Tuesdays and remote on Thursday and Friday.  Students M through Z will be remote on Monday and Tuesday and onsite on Thursdays and Fridays.  All students will have remote learning on Wednesdays.

Pre-K teachers and students will return to onsite learning on Thursday, January 14th.
