The Wichita Police Department has identified the victim in Wednesday’s criminal homicide investigation.
34 year old Michael Montgomery of Wichita was found dead in home in the 900 block of North Oliver.
An investigation led to the arrest of 39 year old Jason Payne, after it was learned that an altercation between the two occurred, and that Montgomery was fatally stabbed.
The investigation is ongoing and will be presented to the Sedgwick County DA.
Payne is being held on a charge of 1st Degree Murder.
