A Wichita man has been sentenced to just over 20 years in prison for a fatal shooting that happened two years ago,.
In February of 2019, 22-year-old Lorenzo Wade was found shot in the parking lot of the Genesis Health Club, near 13th and West. A bag of marijuana was found next to Wade’s body.
22-year-old Ashantis Bledsoe pleaded guilty to a voluntary manslaughter charge, and he is the second person to be sentenced in connection to this shooting. Last September, 27-year-old Tanner Mora, of Wichita, was sentenced to life with parole after 25 years. Mora was convicted of first-degree murder during the commission of an aggravated robbery.
