Two people got into a fight at a west Wichita QuikTrip, leading to a shot being fired in the parking lot.

Wichita police say two people showed up to get gas just before noon, then got into a physical fight in the parking lot. During this fight, one person fired a gun into the ground, but nobody was shot. Both people involved in the fight left before police got there, but officers have since found the person who fired the gun. Police say they are getting limited cooperation from the person.

So far, officials have not said what this fight was about, though it’s believed these people may have been known to each other.
