A registered violent offender has been charged in connection with an assault on a woman at a business in southeast Wichita.
32-year-old Arden Vanhorn is charged with 11 crimes, two of which are misdemeanors. The charges include four counts of aggravated battery, rape, aggravated kidnapping and criminal damage to property.
Vanhorn was arrested on March 14th after a 47-year-old woman reported being attacked while working at a business in the 1500 block of East Harry. The woman said a man came in and held a knife to her, then he choked her and sexually assaulted her.
Police said Vanhorn had been arrested in a separate case involving an aggravated battery and theft. His bond was set at $325,000 and his next court appearance is scheduled for March 25th.
