Sedgwick County is now scheduling appointments for people who qualify for the COVID-19 vaccine in Phases 3 and 4 of the state’s vaccination plan.   Governor Kelly announced earlier that the state would combine Phases 3 and 4, starting March 22nd.

People in Phases 3 and 4 are people ages 16 to 64 with pre-existing medical conditions, along with non-healthcare workers in critical infrastructure.

Because of large turnouts at the community vaccination sites, people with severe medical risks are urged to contact their medical provider or pharmacy to see if they can schedule the vaccination at either of the county’s main sites.   If someone receives medical advice to avoid the large vaccine clinics, they can call the health department at 660-1029 to schedule an appointment for the drive-through clinic.

The main sites are the former downtown library at 223 South Main and the Kansas State Research and Extension Office at 21st and Ridge Road.

Appointments can be scheduled through the county’s web site at www.sedgwickcounty.org/covid-19/vaccine/schedule/

People who don’t have access to the internet can call 660-1029 to make an appointment.   The line was down Thursday due to internet problems, but the county reported late in the afternoon that it was back open again.
