Wichita teen charged in fatal New Year’s Day shooting

A Wichita teenager has been charged with second degree murder in connection with a fatal shooting that happened at a south side home early on New Year’s Day.

19-year-old Noah Martin made his first appearance in court on the murder charge and a charge of recruiting criminal street gang membership.   His bond was set at $300,000 and his next court appearance was scheduled for April 22nd.

Two other people, a 16-year-old boy and a 21-year-old woman, are facing charges for the shooting death of 22-year-old Gabriel Campos-Torres.  The shooting was reported just after 12 a.m. on New Year’s Day at a home in the 1200 block of South Laura.
