The El Dorado Correctional Facility reports Frazier Glenn Cross, Jr. died Monday, May 3.
Cross was convicted in the 2014 shootings at the Jewish Community Center and nearby retirement home in Overland Park. Three people were killed, and Cross was sentenced to death in 2015. Charges included capital murder, attempted murder, assault, and firearms convictions.
Officials say Cross’ cause of death is pending an autopsy but it appears he died of natural causes. He was reported to be in poor health on multiple occasions, and was on oxygen at times during his trial.
