Murder charge filed against second suspect in west Wichita shooting

A second teenager has been charged in connection with a fatal shooting at a west Wichita apartment.

A first degree murder charge has been filed against 18-year-old Breckyn Elliott.   Her bond was set at $250,000 during a court appearance Tuesday and her next court appearane will be May 13th.

Another suspect, 18-year-old Easton Palmer, has been charged with first degree murder and attempted aggravated robbery.   Police are looking for a third suspect, identified as 25-year-old Jaron Palmer.

Police said three people forced their way into an apartment near 13th and West Street on April 25th and fired shots.    17-year-old Eric Stokes was killed and another 17-year-old boy was treated and released for minor injuries.   Investigators said drugs were involved in the shooting.
