Wichita police arrested a 34-year-old woman after her sister was found dead at a south side home early Saturday with a gunshot wound.
Officers were called to Via Christi St. Joseph Hospital at 3600 East Harry around 5:20 Saturday morning. They found a woman who said her sister had been shot and needed help, and they found a handgun inside the woman’s vehicle.
Police found a crime scene at a home in the 2400 block of North Green, and they found 40-year-old Shawna Webb inside. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The younger sister was booked into jail on first degree murder. Police are still looking into the circumstances of the shooting.
