The Sedgwick County Zoo celebrated its 50th birthday on Thursday with the opening of its new entry complex.
The zoo also announced that Zoobilee (Saturday, Sept. 11th) and Wild Encounters (June 3rd) will both be back this year, with elephants being added to the lineup of Wild Encounters offerings.
Another announcement was the expansion of the Tiger Trek experience: all Asian big cats will be combined into one exhibit area, with Snow Leopards now being introduced. The grand opening will be on October 1st.
