One motorcycle rider was killed and another was hurt in a hit-and-run Saturday night.
Wichita police say officers spotted the crash on Hydraulic, near the south I-135 junction, close to midnight. One of the riders, 43-year-old Matthew Golden, of Wichita, passed away at the scene. Injuries to second rider were described as not life-threatening.
According to police, both riders and a car were headed north, when the riders tried to get around the driver. One of the riders hit the car, causing both riders to crash. The driver of the car left the area of the crash.
An investigation into the crash is currently ongoing.
