WSU to Require Masks in Classrooms and Laboratories

Wichita State University will be requiring masks in its classrooms and laboratories come Fall.

President Rick Muma said Monday that the requirement will be effective immediately for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors regardless of an individual’s vaccination status.

He added that masks will be encouraged in all other indoor locations on campus.

Dr. Muma said that he believed the move will greatly increase the university’s chances of keeping campus open for in-person business as well as keeping students in the classroom.
