A Wichita man has been charged with sex crimes involving a child, and investigators believe the crimes may have taken place over a period of several years.
39-year-old Jamie Torres-Cordero was arrested September 7th at a home in east Wichita. Investigators with the Exploited and Missing Child Unit had received information that abuse had been going on at the home near Central and Oliver. No information has been released on the age or gender of the victim.
Torres-Cordero was charged Friday with rape, five counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, and two counts of aggravated criminal sodomy. His bond was set at $250,000 and his next court appearance is scheduled for September 16th.
