Wichita club shooting suspect arrested in Phoenix

The man wanted for a fatal shooting at a Wichita club has been arrested in Phoenix, Arizona.

Wichita police said an officer working with the U.S. Marshal’s Service and its Fugitive Task Force took 23-year-old Keyshawn Dawson into custody on Friday.   Dawson was arrested without incident and the extradition process will begin to bring him back to Sedgwick County.

Dawson is wanted for the September 7th shooting at the Enigma Club at 351 North Mosley.   Police said Dawson was involved in a disturbance inside the club and was forced to leave.  He returned later and and shots were fired through front windows into the club.  34-year-old Preston Spencer was killed and six other people were injured.
