The Wichita Public Schools’ Board of Education unanimously voted on Monday to give all workers a 1.5% bonus, which goes into effect in December.
Employees with the district will receive the bonus provided they’re employed with the district as of December 20th. Workers will receive another 1% bonus in March.
The school board said that the bonuses may be of help in retaining staff as well as addressing labor shortages.
