Wichita’s Guadalupe Clinic announced Wednesday that it has partnered with the JayDoc Community Clinic to launch a new ophthalmology clinic, providing uninsured patients in the area with free vision exams and prescription glasses.
Volunteer ophthalmologist Dr. Anta Campbell will see patients monthly. J.V. Johnston, Executive Director of the Guadalupe Clinic, said the addition of vision care helps expand the clinic’s 36-year mission of serving the uninsured and working poor in Wichita.
Johnston said in a news release that he hopes to recruit additional volunteer providers to see patients more frequently as the word spreads.
