The latest COVID-19 numbers from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) indicate that the state now has an over 25% positive rate.
This is the highest since March 7th of 2020, when 1 out 3 tests were coming back positive. The percent positive rate has sat above 20% for the past 7 days.
Kansas now stands at 7,044 total deaths.
Sedgwick County reported 1,012 cases on Sunday and 1,449 cases on New Year’s Day.
