Organizers of the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Wichita say this year’s event will not be held because of continuing uncertainty over COVID-19.
Leaders of Historic Delano said Thursday that fewer people are interested in participating and attending the parade due to personal health risks. The group said in a statement that “at this time we need to be patient so that others who are less comfortable can feel safe within the community that we all share.”
Delano leaders plan to continue the parade in 2023.
