The Wichita area will be getting some winter weather moving in overnight and continuing into Wednesday.
The National Weather Service is now predicting this storm will bring 5 to 7-inches of snow in total. Snow should start early Wednesday and start to taper off toward the evening. A Winter Storm Warning will stay in place until 6 a.m. Thursday.
Snow accumulations will not be the only hazard from this storm. Current forecasts are predicting wind chills as low as 15-degrees below zero. Blowing snow could also lead to whiteout conditions in some cases.
