Wichita hospitals continue to see a decline in patients with COVID-19, but they remain in a critical status this week.

The hospitals reported 137 patients this week, down from 218 a week ago.  There were 45 patients in the intensive care unit, compared to 54 last week.

Sedgwick County reported an additional 110 cases of COVID-19 on Monday, and the county reported a positive testing rate of 10.7 percent, down from a peak of 23.1 percent late in January.

The state of Kansas has reported a total of 758,237 cases for the pandemic, with Sedgwick County reporting 110,200 cases.   There have been 7,860 deaths statewide, while Sedgwick County has reported 986.

Kansas has reported 2,568 cases of the omicron variant of COVID-19.  Sedgwick County has reported 277 cases.
