A Wichita man has been scheduled for a preliminary hearing in April in connection with an incident last year involving the kidnapping of his then-girlfriend and her daughter.
22-year-old Kamden Campos will have a preliminary hearing on April 7th in Reno County. He is being held on a bond of $2.1 million.
Campos is accused of forcing his girlfriend to drive to Cheney Reservoir on July 19, 2021. The woman escaped and got to her car and drove away, but a shot was fired, striking her two-year-old daughter in the back. The girl survived the shooting.
Campos is charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery, kidnapping and weapons charges.
