A Wichita high school closed for the day after a water main break made it difficult for students and teachers to get to the parking lot and get into the building safely.
West High School closed after a water main break early Friday near Osage and Hendryx, north of the school. The neighborhood surrounding the school was without electric power in addition to the disruption in water services.
Crews have been working to repair the break.
