Three charged in shooting that led to fatal south Wichita crash

Three Wichita men have been charged in a February incident that led to a fatal crash in a south side neighborhood.

Two men are charged with two counts each of first degree murder, along with criminal discharge of a firearm, aggravated battery, and criminal possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.   18-year-old Trebreh Jones and 19-year-old James Lowe, Jr. made their first appearances in Sedgwick County District Court on Tuesday.  Their bonds were set at $500,000.   Lowe is also charged with interference with law enforcement.

A third man, 18-year-old Elijah Sullivan of Wichita, is charged with criminal possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and his bond was also set at $500,000.

The three are scheduled to be back in court on March 17th.

Police said shots were fired at a car on February 21st, causing the car to crash near Lincoln and Grove.  The crash killed 21-year-old Amill Williams and 20-year-old Alonzo Montgomery.    A woman in the car had serious injuries.    Police said the incident was tied to drug activity.
