Dole VA to Host Ceremony for Vietnam Veterans on Tuesday, March 29th

The Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center will host ceremonies honoring Vietnam Veterans on Tuesday, March 29th. Veterans will be presented with a commemorative lapel pin and presidential citation.

140 Veterans in total will be honored.  The ceremony will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Dole VA Auditorium (Bldg. 4), Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center, (5500 E. Kellogg Drive). The first ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. Subsequent ceremonies will begin every 30 minutes, with the last beginning at 3:30 p.m.

The Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act of 2017 designated March 29th as National Vietnam War Veterans Day. This date was chosen to be observed in perpetuity with March 29th, 1973, the day United States Military Assistance Command – Vietnam was disestablished, and the day the last U.S. combat troops departed Vietnam.
