An attack mode test for Sedgwick County’s outdoor sirens has been rescheduled to Monday, May 23, at noon.
Attack mode is meant to warn of some kind of enemy attack, and is not tested as frequently as the the tornado siren function. Monday’s test will sound more like an air raid siren, rather than the typical test sound.
The test was going to happen May 2, but it was rescheduled after a tornado moved through Sedgwick County and Andover on April 29.
