The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said it has found an abducted Rose Hill boy safe, and suspects have been arrested.

An Amber Alert was issued Thursday afternoon for five-year-old Brixton Sisk after he was taken from Rose Hill Elementary School by his mother, posing as a social worker.  The mother, 31-year-old Danielle Banzet, had lost parental rights in a court ruling.    The Kansas Bureau of Investigation said previous actions by Banzet included threats of violence, and that led authorities to believe the boy was in immediate danger.

Officials were looking for a black Chevrolet Suburban with a paper temporary tag, then it was reported that the mother and child had switched to a Volkswagen Jetta.  That vehicle was found abandoned in Cowley County, and the search continued for the Suburban.

Shortly before 10 p.m., the KBI reported that the Oklahoma Highway Patrol had located the mother and a male suspect, and the boy was found safe.  Several tips provided by the public led investigators to the location where the boy was found.    OHP troopers stopped a car on I-35 in Noble County and recovered the boy.

The Amber Alert was canceled after the news of the boy’s recovery.
