The Wichita Wind Surge organization announced Thursday that they will be hosting their first high school football game at Riverfront Stadium.
The 60th anniversary game of the “Holy War” between rivals Bishop Carroll and Kapaun Mt. Carmel will be played on Friday, October 7th at 7 p.m.
Riverfront Stadium hosted the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference championship football game last fall. Wind Surge Partner and CEO Jordan Kobritz said having football games at the stadium was part of the plan when the facility was designed.
More details and ticket information on the Bishop Carroll-Kapaun Mt. Carmel game will be posted on the Wind Surge website as they become available.
