Citing rising COVID cases, the City of Wichita is again requiring city employees and contractors to wear masks inside city buildings. This will apply when social distancing cannot be maintained.
An update from the city says masks are encouraged but not required for visitors in city buildings.
Monday afternoon, Wichita Mayor Brandon Whipple announced he recently tested positive for COVID and will be working from home the rest of the week.
Because of rising COVID cases, the Sedgwick County Health Department is recommending that masks be worn in indoor public spaces, though no new mandates have been put into effect.
