Police in Derby have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting. A 22-year-old man turned himself in to Derby police and he was booked into the Sedgwick County jail on a charge of second degree murder.
Police were called to a home in the 1200 block of North Westview around 3 a.m. Sunday. They found a 28-year-old man with a gunshot wound, and he was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The victims’ name has not been released and there is no word on a motive for the shooting.
