The Wellington Police Department said that a shooting on Saturday killed a 36-year-old man.
Officers responded to a residence in the 1200 Block East Harvey and found the man dead with a gunshot wound to his chest.
A 66-year-old Wellington man was taken into custody at the scene and was booked into the Sumner County Detention Facility.
The investigation is ongoing.
