The Wichita Police Department arrested a 38-year-old Wichita man on one count of first-degree murder.
The arrest stems from a stabbing incident that killed 25-year old Trebeon Golston of Wichita early Monday morning.
Officers responded to the 1000 block of East 1st St. around 1:45 a.m. There they found Golston unconscious and not breathing with multiple stab wounds to his upper body.
Officers began life-saving measures and EMS transported Golston to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators learned about a fight between Golston and the 38 year old suspect outside of a local business, which resulted in Golston being stabbed several times.
Authorities are saying that this was not a random incident, and the investigation is ongoing.
